“Pod Up” and Safely Connect with Your Community

We’re living through unprecedented times these days. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has affected many aspects of our lives – perhaps none more significant than limiting our daily interactions with friends and family. Social distancing protocols, shelter-in-place mandates, and recommendations to isolate and quarantine have made it feel like we’re going through life alone. Talk to any parents you might know, and chances are they’ll echo the same feelings, along with a growing concern of how to provide childcare and help their children safely connect with others.

With this concern in mind, Bitwise Industries launched a new website called “PodUp,” focused on helping families find ways to solve their childcare needs during these uncertain times – safely, securely, and with the right precautionary measures. With a new school year on the horizon, parents, guardians, and caregivers are overwhelmed more than ever — all while trying to figure out how to balance work and the educational and social needs of their family.

PodUp matches you, at no cost, to a network of local families to safely share resources and childcare options, helping eliminate the overwhelming stress caused by isolation while providing you and your family with connection and community. These “Pods” are networks of local families that share your quarantine values, such as social distancing and wearing masks. They support your family in a variety of ways, including:

  • Sharing childcare coverage
  • Building at-home school schedules
  • Establishing regular daily routines
  • Safe social and emotional connection

Simply fill out a short intake form, indicating your family size, location, and quarantine values (things like social distancing, wearing masks, etc.) and you’ll see suggestions for families in your area to “Pod Up” with! Get to know each other in our secure chat portal, and set up times to meetup or connect in-person when you both feel ready to.
