Take Care would not be possible without the hard work of our volunteer team. From beginning to end, each member of our #BWTakeCare team is helping make this grocery relief program possible! We are actively looking for more community members to volunteer with us to help serve those most at-risk in our community.
We are constantly evaluating our process and adapting to keep our volunteers and recipients safe and healthy. To our volunteers, we appreciate your help at this time. Be mindful of what is happening in the world and take every precaution necessary for yourself.
Take Care volunteers will be asked to pack and/or delivery grocery boxes.
Once your volunteer form is processed, a Take Care team member will contact you with further instructions.
Please keep in mind some of the individuals in need of grocery assistance are elderly or immunocompromised. It is important to take precaution both for their safety and for yours.
Please be sure to practice social distancing when you deliver. No handshakes. No hugs. Try to maintain a six-foot distance if possible.
It’s appropriate to set the groceries on the doorstep for the recipient to pick up. If the person is disabled or otherwise unable to to pick up the groceries from their doorstep, please set them inside their home and avoid touching door knobs or other surfaces.
You’ll be provided with gloves but it is still important to wash your hands with hot water and soap or use hand sanitizer before and after your delivery.
