Passionate about people, community and creativity, Kristin Belden is dedicated to launching projects that have a unique and important impact. As Bitwise chief of staff, she regularly communicates with our stakeholders such as board members and investors about the growth and regional impact of Bitwise. She leads our lobbying and policy making efforts, ensuring we have a voice in critical conversations at both the state and federal level. Kristin worked in the media industry for over a decade, most recently as a partner at Studiotobe, a home for independent storytelling, content development and production.
Previously, she served as chief of staff for The Center for Investigative Reporting, combining strategic planning, business development and project management to drive performance across the organization. She also co-launched The Bay Citizen, a local nonprofit news organization in San Francisco committed to promoting innovation in journalism and catalyzing civic engagement with the news. Kristin serves on the board at Youth Leadership Institute, an organization dedicated to building communities where young people and their adult allies come together to create positive community change that promotes social justice and racial equity.
